On Friday, December 2, the exhibition “Health in a glass” of the Vrnjačka Banja Local Museum was opened in the Gallery of the Museum of the Rudnica-Takovo Region. The exhibition and publication “Health in a glass” is the joint work of the museum advisor archaeologist Jelena Borović Dimić and the master of fine artist Blagoj Dimić and was prepared from the results of several projects and collections.

The exhibition is full of works of art, containers that have been used for water over time, and special emphasis is placed on the collection of specific spa furniture, spa glasses. The specificity of these glasses was that they were graduated in millimeters, so the spa guest could pour exactly as much water into the glass as prescribed by the spa doctor. The exhibition is completed by panels with photos of famous people in Banja until the first half of the 20th century: Desanka Maksimović, Ivo Andrić, Mića Popović, Žanka Stokić and others.

What has changed in the attitude of visitors towards water, why did we once respect mineral water sources and worship the water that healed us, and how is it today? The author of the exhibition, Jelena Borović Dimić, provided professional guidance at the opening of the exhibition so that our meeting itself gained a completely new dimension.
