In 1961, a four-metre sculpture made by an academic sculptor from Belgrade Momčilo Krković (Malo Grace, Banija, 1929-2011, Belgrade) was set in Rudnik. The monument to the fallen soldiers from Rudnik region was carved in autochthonous rock and modelled as a synthesis of dramatically arranged cubic forms. Its appearance leaves the impression of disrupted harmony implying the horror of war, which among the thousands of others took away the lives of local people from Rudnik and its surroundings.
