In front of the Prefecture building, there is a bust of the great army leader and a military strategist – the duke Živojin Mišić, who came from the village of Koštunići, that is the Damljanović family on his mother Anđelija’s side. As the commander of the First Army, he launched the famous Rudnik Offensive from the Prefecture building on 3 December 1914, following which he was declared an honorary citizen of Gornji Milanovac. The monument is a work of art of Nebojša Savović Nes from 1996.
