The Museum of Rudnik-Takovo Region proudly represented Gornji Milanovac’s rich cultural heritage at the 19th European Salzburg Summit in Austria. As part of the “European Regional Culture” exhibition, organized by the Institute of European Regions, our museum showcased works by painter Živorad Nastasijević, highlighting the unique blend of traditional and contemporary art from the Nastasijević family.

Our director, historian Aleksandar Marušić, represented Gornji Milanovac, a member of this international association. We also prepared an English-language catalogue introducing the cultural and historical legacy of our region and the Nastasijević family.

Furthermore, Mr. Marušić presented the seven-volume edition “Obrenović Dynasty in Museum and Other Collections in Serbia and Europe” in Salzburg, in cooperation with the Consulate of the Republic of Serbia. This presentation, particularly impactful in Austria where many Obrenović family members lived, drew significant interest from the audience. The keen interest and numerous questions underscore the value of our ongoing research.
