The Church in Rudnik

The Church in Rudnik

Since the Turks conquered Rudnik and demolished its temples in 1453, church bells weren’t heard until 2006 when the bishop of Žiča Hrizostom held service in a newly built consecrated temple dedicated to Sveti Đorđe (Saint George). In May 1992, during the construction of the church, several coins dating from 1340 and 1345 were found. Some of them are King Dušan’s coins.
